Fabio Paratici Pushes for 52-Year-Old as Next Manager of Tottenham – Journalist

The search for a new Tottenham Hotspur manager is underway, as Antonio Conte’s time at the club appears to be coming to an end. The club’s managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, is reportedly pushing for Luis Enrique to be the next manager of Spurs.

The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke discussed the situation on the View from the Lane Podcast, shedding light on Paratici’s desire to hire Enrique. Pitt-Brooke noted that if it was solely up to Paratici, the former Barcelona and Spain boss would be appointed as Tottenham’s new manager.

However, Pitt-Brooke also expressed his concerns regarding the possible appointment of Enrique, stating that it would be unwise for the club to pretend as if the past three years had not happened by bringing in another high-profile manager.

Paratici’s desire for Enrique to take over at Tottenham shows his influence on the decision-making process. However, the final decision ultimately rests with the club’s chairman, Daniel Levy, who may not wholly trust Paratici’s judgement after he drove the move for Nuno Espirito Santo back in 2021.

Despite Enrique being in the running for the job, Levy highly rates former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, and it would not be surprising if the Argentine was appointed ahead of the Spaniard.

In conclusion, it seems apparent that Tottenham will soon have a new manager in the dugout. However, the decision-making process is still ongoing, and it remains to be seen who will take charge of the North London club in the coming weeks.
