Harry Kane has stated that he is ‘excited’ to see Tottenham target Tyrick Mitchell train with England’s senior side, as he told his press conference, writes the HITC.
The Crystal Palace defender has had a stellar week because his Premier League performances this season have resulted in him getting called up by his country for the first time.
Now, the 22-year-old is going to pit his talents alongside some of the best in the country, including that of Tottenham striker, Kane.
Whilst he does that on the international stage, it seems as though Spurs are trying to do the same on the domestic stage.
After Mitchell was called up by his country, rumours emerged that Tottenham are one of a number of clubs keen on signing the flying fullback.
That comes with the territory of getting onto the international stage, as Kane shared his thoughts on the new faces that are in the Three Lions camp, including that of Mitchell’s.
“It’s great to have new faces in the squad,” said Kane. “Young faces. I think I am getting older and older by the minute. It’s great to see them.
“Marc and Tyrick, good to see them. We have had a couple of training sessions now. They look like they are settling in well and enjoying it.
“It’s really good for the squad and for the country to have players coming through. Excited to see them over the next week or so.”
Mitchell is making huge strides at Selhurst Park, and in truth, he should stay put in the summer and beyond.
It’s not like this Patrick Vieira side is going backwards or standing still, it’s going places and showing signs that it wants to go places.
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side, plus, if Vieira can help develop Mitchell to such levels during such a short period of time, imagine what he can do in a few years?
Mitchell is better off staying in Palace colours, and down the line, trying to help the club push into the Premier League’s top ten and Europe.
