Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon told Fantasy Premier League users on his Instagram to not sell him despite him picking up an injury during his side’s 3-0 win against Norwich on Sunday, writes the HITC.
The Spurs left-back, who had to go off with a muscle issue in the first-half, posted ‘I’ll be back in a few days. Don’t sell me in Fantasy Premier League…’
His Spurs teammate Eric Dier issued a brutal four-word response to Reguilon’s injury message by stating: “Who had bought you?”.
Well, whilst Reguilon had to go off injured yesterday, during his past few matches, he has scored one goal, supplied one assist and kept a clean sheet for those who have the left-back in their team.
That’s some pretty decent points the former Real Madrid man has been racking up and more than Dier.
Either way, it’s positive news for Spurs and Antonio Conte that he will have Reguilon back in action because he has been outstanding of late.
Tottenham take on Rennes in a crucial Europa Conference League match on Thursday night and it will be a surprise to see Reguilon playing any part given his recent injury.
Conte has been ringing the changes during that competition anyway, but judging by Reguilon’s message, it seems as though he will be back for the trip to Brighton on Sunday.
Whilst things have been rosy in the garden for Conte in the Premier League, it hasn’t been that case in Europe.
And if the North London club get knocked out of the recently-formed tournament on Thursday, then it would be an embarrassing moment for all involved with the club.
