Tottenham Hotspur’s winger, Dejan Kulusevski, has expressed his anticipation of seeing more of Giovani Lo Celso in action following their weekend clash with Aston Villa.
In a bid to cope with a challenging injury list, Lo Celso returned to the field, featuring prominently in the middle of the park alongside notable absences such as Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, and Pape Sarr. Despite Tottenham’s defeat, the Argentine midfielder showcased his prowess by scoring a goal, unleashing a deflected effort from the edge of the box.
Despite his limited minutes in the past 12 months, Lo Celso’s strong performance has left an impression on his teammate Kulusevski. Speaking to Football.London, Kulusevski praised Lo Celso and expressed his belief that manager Ange Postecoglou is likely to include him more frequently in the lineup.
“Celso was so good, and he’s going to help us. He showed today what kind of player he is, and I expect him to play a lot more now,” Kulusevski remarked.
The winger’s positive assessment of Lo Celso’s contribution suggests that Tottenham may witness an increased role for the Argentine midfielder in the upcoming matches, providing a potential boost to the team’s performance.
