The big story in football over the past 24 hours has been about Marcus Rashford and his reported unhappiness at Manchester United.
The England international is apparently less than impressed by the amount of gametime he’s received in recent weeks, and he’s questioning his Old Trafford future.
Inevitably, this has put a number of Premier League clubs on alert, and apparently, one of the teams that are in for him is West Ham United.
Rashford joining West Ham would be absolutely massive, and to put into context just how big of a move this would be, David Moyes could only joke about making that signing this time last year.
Moyes actually joked about signing Rashford on Sky Sports News last January.
“Yeah, if Harry Kane was available, I would love him. Get me Rashford. Any of them available and want to join, I am here. You know, pick up the phone to me anytime,” Moyes said.
This time last year, Marcus Rashford was one of the hottest properties in England while West Ham were enjoying what many thought was just a purple patch in the Premier League.
Since then, Rashford’s form has dropped off a cliff and West Ham have established themselves as a true force in the Premier League.
This move would have sounded ridiculous 12 months ago, hence why Moyes could only joke about the signing, but now, Rashford could actually be an attainable target for the Hammers.
