Danny Rose Reveals Harry Kane’s Plans for Next Season

Tottenham Hotspur’s future remains uncertain as the team struggles to secure a spot in the top four of the Premier League. With only one game left in the season, the London club is not only looking for a new manager but also considering what to do with their star player, Harry Kane. In a recent interview with Astro SuperSport, former Tottenham player Danny Rose revealed what Kane had shared with him about his plans for next season.

Rose spoke with Kane after the disappointing loss against Aston Villa, during which the Spurs only got going in the final part of the match, and by then it was too late. Jacob Ramsey had already given Villa an early lead, and Douglas Luiz doubled their advantage from a set piece. Tottenham’s interim manager, Ryan Mason, has had a challenging time since taking over, with rumors swirling about who will take the helm next season. Although no decision has been made, it has been confirmed that Julian Nagelsmann will not be Tottenham’s next coach.

One of the most significant decisions Tottenham will have to make this summer is the future of Kane. The 29-year-old striker only has one year left on his contract, and some of Europe’s top clubs are beginning to circle. Rose shared that he had texted Kane about ten days ago, asking him what his plans were for next season. Kane didn’t give too much away at the time, but when Rose saw him after the Manchester United game, they spoke for about 20 minutes.

Rose revealed, “He’s very much clued up on what he’s going to do next season, and for me, I don’t think Daniel [Levy] holds the cards with Harry at the minute.” Tottenham’s chairman, Daniel Levy, is in a difficult position. If he decides to sell Kane to avoid losing him for free next year, the fanbase will turn on him. However, if he keeps Kane, there’s a chance he won’t sign a new contract, and Tottenham will lose one of the league’s best players for nothing.

Given the probable price tag Levy will attach to Kane, it’s hard to see him moving. However, Kane is in a position of power, and whoever becomes Tottenham’s next manager will have to convince him that there’s a project worth sticking with. Tottenham’s struggles this season make it unlikely that Kane will stay unless there are significant changes to the club’s direction. Until then, Tottenham fans will have to wait to see what the future holds for their star player and their club.
