‘Clubs in fierce battle’ – Tottenham made their conditions clear to let their young talent leave

The Italian media today announced the details of the fight for Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga.

The outlet notes that Roma tried to hold a meeting with the player’s agent Roberto De Fanti on Monday. However, the website reported the Roman club is not the only contender for the Englishman’s services.

As of today, it is still unclear which team is leading the race for the defender. Milan and Roma offered more than 20 million euros for the player, in turn Tottenham would prefer a guaranteed sale with the obligation to buy out.

All sides are aware that negotiations could start anew in the final days of the transfer window. And Spurs will have to decide whether to accept the offers that are already there, or to include a clause on the compulsory purchase of the player.
