‘Bid already on the table’ – West Ham now face a major exit dilemma

Issa Diop attracted attention of newly promoted Fulham, as the 25-year-old centre-back has been linked with an exit from West Ham during the last several weeks.

Upon joining WHU in 2018 from Toulouse Diop quickly cemented his place in the starting eleven. He appeared in 63 Premier League games during the first two seasons. Since then, however, the talented CB has been struggling for stability alongside persistent injuries.

In the previous campaign Issa Diop made 24 appearances for the club, but only 12 of them were in the Premier League.

David Moyes apparently was ready to offload the player until the newly-signed centre-back Nayef Aguerd suffered an injury blow. It is reported that Aguerd will return to full fitness only in November, and this forces the management carefully consider their next decision.

Fulham is reportedly ready to offer £15 million and that is a good fee for a player lacking the game time. At the same time, David Moyes has four possible options to fill the gap (Kurt Zouma, Craig Dawson, Angelo Ogbonna and Ben Johnson).
