‘Better wages’ – West Ham suffer a major blow in their pursuit of the Ligue 1 midfielder

Recent reports suggest that other Premier League club is now eager to hijack West Ham United target Amadou Onana.

The 20-year-old Lille midfielder is one of the Ligue 1’s biggest talents and has attracted a lot of interest this summer. On Thursday, the Daily Mail revealed that Amadou Onana is now more inclined to join Everton.

The team from Liverpool reportedly has met West Ham’s bid of £33.5 million, but the personal terms from Everton are better. West Ham, as of now, has not intention to introduce better wages and will go out from the race.

In our opinion, it is a smart move from the management. Such amount of money can now be spent on more problematic positions in West Ham squad. We don’t deny massive talent of Onana, but he would be a luxury signing for the club. Priority for the Hammers is the defensive line.
