Barcelona and Tottenham agreed on Lenglet, but there is a problem

The Frenchman is preparing to move from Spain to England.

Diario Sport claims that the Catalan club is ready to loan Clement Lenglet to Spurs as all details have been settled with Tottenham Hotspur. It is reported that now it remains only to get the final consent of the player himself.

The Spanish source confirms that the French footballer seems to be ready to move to Tottenham. Initially, he was skeptical about this option, but then changed his mind after talk with Spurs boss Antonio Conte.

After that, Lenglet agreed to move to the team, as Conte promised him substantial playing time. However, despite the verbal agreements, the player’s side is yet to give the official green light, which explains why Tottenham fans are still waiting for the announcement. The reason of the delay has not been clarified.

Lenglet is expected to move to Tottenham for one season. The Spurs will have the right to buy the player’s contract for more than 10 million euros at the end of next season.

Clement Lenglet has been with Barcelona since the summer of 2018, after he completed a 36-million transfer from Sevilla.
