Cristian Stellini, Tottenham’s assistant head coach, has shared details of a personal phone conversation he had with Antonio Conte following the London derby.
On Sunday afternoon, Tottenham claimed a 2-0 victory over Chelsea in the London derby with goals from Oliver Skipp and Harry Kane.
Following the match, Tottenham’s assistant head coach Cristian Stellini revealed that Antonio Conte had called him “immediately” after the game. Stellini stated in the post-match press conference that Conte was thrilled with the win and happy to be back with the team.
“He was really happy because he has suffered a lot, but now is week Antonio is back so we are happy for the win, we are happy for that and we have to give many compliments to the players because they played a great match,” the assistant coach said, via Football London.
He commended the players for their excellent performance and expressed his joy at the result. With this win, Tottenham has moved up to 4th place in the Premier League standings with 45 points.
