According to Italian publication Diretta Goal, Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte is strongly interested in Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella. The Italian specialist dreams of reuniting with the midfielder at the London club.
It was under Antonio Conte’s guidance that Barella was able to become one of the best midfielders in Serie A, and played a key role in the Milan club’s winning season. Inter’s new head coach Simone Inzaghi has adopted a similar model of play, but Barella cannot show himself the way he did under Antonio Conte.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Tottenham made an official request during the summer transfer window to buy the 25-year-old player.
However, the publication’s report adds that the Milan club has stopped any approach by the North London club to touch the player.
History repeats itself again, now interest in the Italian midfielder has been confirmed by Diretta Goal, who claim that Conte continues to ask the Spurs management to sign the 25-year-old player.
