Alasdair Gold Blown Away by Manager Tottenham Have Moved For

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is on the hunt for a new permanent manager following the sacking of Antonio Conte. The club is reportedly considering several names, including Mauricio Pochettino, Julian Nagelsmann, and Arne Slot.

The Independent recently reported that Tottenham has been testing the Dutchman’s interest in the job. Alasdair Gold, a journalist for Tottenham, has given his opinion on Slot, saying that he is a “Pochettino in the making” and an “incredibly talented young manager” who is ready for a step up in his career.

Feyenoord, the Rotterdam club managed by Slot, currently tops the Eredivisie table by six points, with Ajax in second place. Feyenoord is also in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, with Jose Mourinho’s Roma up next. What could really stand out for Tottenham about Slot is his style of play. Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan recently provided a glowing endorsement of the 44-year-old, describing him as a “maniac” who plays “ultra-attacking” football, and likened him to Pep Guardiola.

Slot’s attacking style of play could be what Tottenham needs to revitalize the team. The club has struggled in recent years, failing to win a trophy since 2008. Slot’s ideas and tactics could provide the spark that Tottenham needs to start winning games and competing for titles.

However, the question remains: why not just go for Pochettino? The Argentine managed Tottenham from 2014 to 2019. Gold wonders why Tottenham doesn’t just rehire Pochettino if they’re looking for someone like him.

In any case, Tottenham will need to make a decision soon. The club cannot afford to be without a manager for too long, especially with important games coming up in the Premier League. Tottenham fans will be eagerly awaiting news of who the new manager will be, and whether he can lead the team to success.
