Spurs correspondent Charlie Eccleshare has stated that French defender Clement Lenglet will not be able to participate in the upcoming match against Chelsea.
The Frenchman made his debut for the club against Southampton from the bench and excelled, winning 100% of his air duels (1/1) and accurately passing six passes in eight minutes of playing time.
Now the player will have to put the brakes on his development at Tottenham, as a series of injuries have consistently thwarted the player on his way to stable, regular playing practice.
Eccleshare wrote a message on Twitter detailing the 27-year-old’s condition.
“#THFC team news: Lenglet has “a little problem” with his adductor brought on by fatigue and will miss the Chelsea game as a precaution. Skipp needs a couple of weeks before he’s available. Otherwise everyone available for Chelsea game.”
