Harry Winks didn’t leave Tottenham in this transfer window because he has impressed Nuno Espirito Santo and has been offered another lifeline by the Portuguese manager.
The midfielder was one of the players who lost their place in the Tottenham team under Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager didn’t think the England international fitted into his plans and sidelined him alongside the likes of Dele Alli.
However, the 25-year-old has now impressed Nuno Espirito Santo enough to earn his place back in the Tottenham squad.
The Sun claims he is now one of the players that Nuno Santo will bank on to help Spurs in this campaign.
He played in both Tottenham Europa Conference League matches against Pacos de Ferreira last month and might be used in more cup games in this campaign.
Winks will hope to play enough games so that he can earn a recall to the England national team.
He missed out on Euro 2020 because of his limited playing time and will hope to be in the squad for the FIFA World Cup next year.
Spurs have made a brilliant start to this campaign and they head into the international break at the top of the Premier League table.
They will hope to continue winning matches when their stars return from the break.
